POSITION OVERVIEW:
The WETA Digital Fundraising Manager serves as the day-to-day manager for WETA's digital fundraising initiatives for WETA PBS and WETA Classical in our nation’s capital region. This Manager works in close partnership with the Director of Digital Fundraising to drive revenue growth, donor retention, and audience engagement across all digital channels. This position offers the opportunity to help shape the future of digital philanthropy at WETA, implementing best practices in digital fundraising while experimenting with new tactics to grow and diversify the organization's supporter base in an increasingly digital-first environment. Reports to the Director of Digital Fundraising, and is supported by the Coordinator, Digital Fundraising.
The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable writing persuasive fundraising appeals, designing campaign graphics, ensuring seamless integration with WETA's broader multichannel fundraising efforts—from acquisition and cultivation through stewardship and retention, analyzing campaign metrics, engaging with partners, and testing innovative approaches to digital donor engagement via both tried and true and emerging digital channels.
In addition to fundraising responsibilities, the Digital Fundraising Manager will also help craft and manage the marketing/promotional strategies for WETA+ streaming service, including WETA+ free version and WETA+ with PBS Passport donor level. A key element of this role includes promoting WETA's streaming content and Passport member benefit through regular email newsletters and website content, contributing to both engagement and revenue objectives.
