About the Role

Vegas PBS is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Planned Giving Officer to help build a lasting legacy of impact across Southern Nevada. This role operates with considerable autonomy, managing a portfolio of planned giving donors and prospects while serving as Vegas PBS’s in-house gift planning resource. You’ll develop and implement strategic planned giving initiatives that support our mission and strengthen long-term financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of planned giving donors and prospects using moves management strategies.

  • Serve as the primary internal resource for planned giving, supporting conversations about legacy-giving options (e.g., bequests, beneficiary designations, charitable trusts, and other planned-giving vehicles).

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, professional advisors (legal/financial/estate planning), and community networks to expand referral pathways.

  • Design and implement planned giving outreach efforts, donor engagement strategies, and marketing/communications in partnership with internal teams.

  • Collaborate with development and station leadership to integrate planned giving into broader fundraising and stewardship efforts.

  • Ensure accurate documentation, donor records, and activity tracking in the CRM/database; report progress and portfolio metrics as needed.

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting a high-touch donor experience aligned with Vegas PBS values.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in planned giving, major gifts, development, or related donor relationship management work.

  • Working knowledge of charitable gift planning concepts and the ability to communicate them clearly (without providing legal/tax advice).

  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills with a service-forward approach.

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and comfort level engaging donors and professional partners.
