JOB OBJECTIVE:
 
We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator: A/V Meeting Specialist to set up and operate media equipment for live events. As an AV technician, you will be responsible for organizing and installing media equipment such as projectors, microphones, video monitors, and sound boards. You may also be required to alter the venue layout to enhance acoustics.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
To ensure success in this role, you should have advanced knowledge of audio and video equipment, experience with lighting and filming techniques, and excellent troubleshooting skills. Ultimately, a top-notch AV technician should be able to create superb audio and visual effects to enhance any live experience.

Audio Visual (AV) Technician and Meeting Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate, set up, and maintain audio and visual equipment, including projectors, speakers, microphones, and other equipment as needed
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to ensure events run smoothly
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients
  • Meet with Event Coordinators to discuss audio, lighting, and video requirements
  • Alter venue arrangements according to layout diagrams
  • Lay electrical and sound cables
  • Set up and install microphones, lights, video monitors, projectors, speakers, and video cameras
  • Conduct sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment
  • Operate sound and visual equipment during events
  • Disassemble audio and visual equipment and pack up after the event
  • Monitor and manage compliance with existing policy and recommend changes to align with changing business needs
  • Coordinate the provisioning of meeting planning services/support and liaise with the workplace leadership and support service team members onsite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to maintain professional composure in a fast-paced environment
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of latest audio and visual equipment ex: Mersive
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Able to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and accurately
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Flexible schedule and able to work nights and weekends as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
LOCATION:
